Resolution: This issue has been resolved by Trellix in Endpoint Security Agent (HX) 35.31.25 and later. This issue is not likely to be encountered by consumers using Windows devices in their home. When attempting to open an affected app, Event Log indicates an access violation with the error "module is unknown". This issue only occurs with 32-bit apps running on 64-bit Windows with Trellix Endpoint Security version earlier than 35.31.25. Some known affected apps are Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft Office apps.

Microsoft Outlook and some apps might not openĪfter installing KB5027215 or later updates on Windows devices with certain antivirus, antimalware or security software installed, you might not be able to open Microsoft or third-party apps.
